While hanging upside down.....

Last year I injured my back and ended up having 2 Epidural Steroid Injections and Physical Therapy for 4 months. (couldn't work either.) So yesterday when I felt the twinges and nerve symptoms start, I was concerned. My remedy: Do what I was taught in Physical Therapy. I was extremely lucky my therapist Amber was such a good instructor. (Ok I learned to understand my body, too.) I did my pelvic rock, extended my legs and realized my R leg was shorter, and my R hip was rotated forward. This has happened before so I didn't panic. After stretching, I decided to "HANG" on my inverter in the garage.

With my feet and ankles secure I floated backwards. It was then that I thought I heard a knock at the front door. Immediately I stilled my breathing and LISTENED....All I heard was the wind blowing against the garage door and some creaking noises. Silly me! But my next thought was....

Is someone in my house? As my heart started racing, I thought about what I would do. OK, I could hit the garage door button and run out yelling FIRE FIRE !! Then I chided myself about reading too many murder mysteries lately (thanks to author Lisa Gardner) and thought better about my reading choices. As I was laughing "quitely" to myself, I heard the knob on the inside house/garage door jiggle while simultaneously hearing a man's voice.....Catapulting forward with my feet still locked in, I turned my head and screamed!

I don't know who screamed louder my husband or me!

My husband and I agree on the following:

1. Don't "HANG" naked...you never known if someone will come to visit.

2. He must announce his arrival even if he thinks I'm sleeping.

Finally....Thank God! He didn't use the automatic garage door!
